"Make sports a force for respect, good will, and peace on earth."

The main thing is that we develop a grand mission or quest that is worth fighting for and that has a purpose that transcends our everyday squabbles and conceits. It could involve the practice and cultivation of skills, beginning with physical activity itself, continuing on to creative and intellectual activity, and perhaps reaching a goal of transcendent importance – transcending our personal need for glory. One of these qualities is that we would not...

"Sports celebrates the pagan hero: the winner, the strongest."

“One has only to recall the wild, crazy enthusiasm with which people participated in the various wars of the past two centuries – the readiness of millions to risk national suicide in order to protect the image of ‘the strongest power,’ or of ‘honor,’ or of profits. And for another example, consider the frenzied nationalism of people watching the contemporary Olympic Games, which allegedly serve the cause of people. Indeed, the popularity of...

"Do not suggest that only your team should be victorious"

Sports can have unexpected effects, for individuals and in society. It can make us more egotistical and less sensitive to others. We can be overly concerned about our team and our success, and less sensitive to the needs of others. Greed, aggression and conflict can be an indirect result of this state of mind. Enthrallment by spectator sports can be an artificial, socially constructed reality that magnifies ambition, competition and isolation. – Do not...

"Sports represents exceptional valuation of the human body"

“Sports represents an exceptional valuation of the human body, as does also modern dancing. The cinema, on the other hand, like the detective story, makes it possible to experience without danger all the excitement, passion and desirousness which must be repressed in a humanitarian ordering of life.” Carl Jung, Modern Man in Search of a Soul, 219

"We seek meaningless pleasure"

“The Alps themselves, which your own poets used to love so reverently, you look upon as soaped poles in a bear-garden, which you set yourselves to climb and slide down again, with ‘shrieks of delight.’ When you are past shrieking, having no human articulate voice to say you are glad with, you fill the quietude of their valleys with gunpowder blasts, and rush home, red with cutaneous eruption of conceit, and voluble with convulsive hiccough of...

"Professional sports breeds hatred"

“These are not even the biggest problems with pro-football and other professional sports. The biggest is the hatred it breeds between rival teams and rival fans, and the justification of rage and anger. Cut throat competition, in which winning and losing is all that matters, is a very addictive, blinding pursuit that sucks valuable time and energy and money out of people's lives and community resources. 1. Challenge
Be willing to suffer and sacrifice
What do you find humorous? Do you derive pleasure from the suffering of others? Watch yourself and see if you have this feeling. It may not be obvious, but if it is there you will find that it expresses itself in the impulse to laugh when somebody falls. You want those who are high to be pulled down; you criticize and gossip thoughtlessly about others.

Online Product Sales

This project focuses on running an online business that makes shopping easier for customers by handling product sourcing and delivery. Customers place their orders online, and I source the requested items from local shops. For clients who are nearby, I deliver directly, while for those farther away, I arrange for items to be shipped. The aim is to save people time and provide a convenient and reliable service.

To make this happen smoothly, I need financial capital that will allow me to purchase products in advance and on time. This prevents delays and helps maintain customer satisfaction. I also hope to establish a small physical center where clients can find me more easily. This will help build trust, increase visibility, and attract a larger customer base.

Politics
X
1. Challenge
Look for the good in the other side.
Do not believe what you are told by the government or media.
Do not condemn the other side unthinkingly.
Do not appeal to or blame leaders or authorities.
Reconstruct any hopeless political issue and make it Visionary.

2. Visionary Society Public Event
Turn a political issue into a Quest

Are you fed up with politics, but still want to be involved in the issues of the day? Is government that recognizes heart and soul possible?

Every time a political issue is presented to us we can look for a deeper way, one not based on superiority or coercion. Turn a political issue into a Quest.

Does politics have to be adversarial? Are you worthy of democracy? What would it mean to develop exquisite sensitivity to the human condition of the community?

Do not vote for a second-rate way of life, even if it is the lesser of two evils. We have more power than we realize, if we build up in ourselves, during the course of our life, the courage of heart and soul. Of refusing to close our heart. Of defending ourself against despondency and bitterness. Of the tenderness and fearlessness that is needed to approach our foes. This is voting as it was meant to be.

It doesn’t matter which side is right. It doesn’t even matter if we find a solution. Instead, our goal must be to look courageously, with humility and goodwill. That is already transformative action. Visionary voting means developing our latent and suppressed capacity for perceiving and acting at the deepest possible level. It means engaging people to respond at precisely the level at which deficiency is being generated.

Turn a political issue into a Quest
Every time a political issue is presented to us we can look for a deeper way, one not based on superiority or coercion. Take it as an opportunity to transform the field on which opposing parties meet, so that they no longer meet in opposition. Reconstruct any hopeless political issue and make it Visionary. Select a political issue, and we will work together to turn it into Quest.
