The Great No is rejection of everything. It is test and trial. It is cracking the egg, throwing off the veil. It is a day for non-participation in corporate life, in mass media, in belief systems, in organizations – and especially in the subtle ways that we have integrated with views and motives that have been imposed from outside.
– No electronic media (Television, Internet, cell phones, etc.).
– No politics, entertainment, religion, nationalism.
– No materialism (Buying or selling).
– No artificial mood changes (Recorded music, alcohol or drugs, etc.)
– No small talk.
Question everything, especially publicly exhorted views and the narrative controlled by the powers that be. Go deeper. Question your identity, instincts, and beliefs. Resist all forms of external determinism, including biology, culture and ideology. Refuse to participate in anything that is false, illusory, idolatrous, trivial or degraded. Stop adulating leaders, especially celebrities and politicians? Do not glorify the tangential. Stop peer consciousness. Do not succumb to the pressure of the everyday.
How much are you willing to give up? Will you submit to inconvenience, suspense, uncertainty? How far do you want to go?

Stake your life on something
No is beginning, but not everything. After the Great No we are finally ready for Yes. Don’t waste this one life that you have. Be discontented. Take risks for the sake of your soul. After No, take the first step grounded in reality. Make a firm promise to become capable of the good, the true, the beautiful, and to do so in your actual life. To do what is worth living for. To distinguish between the false and real. To find the secret of existence.
