Background
I didn’t start my tailoring business out of passion but out of necessity. When I was seven months pregnant and already had two other children, my partner left me. With no income and no clear path forward, I decided to try tailoring, even though I didn’t know how to sew. I had a sewing machine at home, so I partnered with a tailor and slowly began a small sewing business, eventually adding a manual machine. Facing challenges with unreliable tailors, I taught myself to sew and shifted my focus to making simple clothes using batik fabric. That change allowed me to earn enough to support my children, especially my youngest, who I was pregnant with at the time. He was born in 2000, and I raised him through many struggles, eventually supporting him through nursery, school, and even university. Today, I continue with my work and hope to expand my business so I can keep supporting myself and also help others, especially those who are vulnerable or living with disabilities. I also find joy in praying and visiting the sick.
Vision
To modernize and expand my 20-year batik clothing business by acquiring modern sewing machines and working capital for fabric. This will boost efficiency, increase production, and widen market reach, helping to establish the business as a leading batik fashion producer with a strong, positive impact on the community.
