Artificial intelligence is a technical subject. But, like any subject that presents a challenge to our very life, the questions we need to ask are basic. What is its danger and promise? Can it improve them in a deeper sense – not just for comfort, but lasting value? Asking these questions is what makes Visionary Society Quest different.

I am a novice in the technical matters of artificial intelligence. My special interest is only in asking probing questions. If you have suggestions about articles or other resources to add to Perspectives, please let me know and I can do so. If you like, we could also offer an introduction to how Artificial intelligence works, including a hands-on trial of ChatGPT. We can also schedule an evening Celebration of the Good, to explore resources together as an alternative form of entertainment.
