"That country is the richest which nourishes the greatest number of noble and happy human beings" John Ruskin
The Right criticizes the homeless for lack of initiative, for depending on handouts, and for creating a nuisance. Their goal: Make the homeless into functioning members of society. The Left blames the government for failing to provide social services, such as job training, housing, and therapy. Their goal: Provide relief, such as shelter, food and clothing.
What do you think? Is there a deep solution – one which stops homelessness before it happens, one which makes it possible for all to thrive, not just survive?
