Visionary Society is meant to grow naturally by those who have a special interest in any aspect of it, and would like to help develop that part in their community.

Please enter your location and explain what your interest in Visionary Society is and what role you'd like to take in developing an Action or Topic. We'll review this and start taking steps to making your community more Visionary!

Do not participate in indirect causes of war
Use respectful language (and in general be respectful). While it may seem silly to insist on civil behaviour when the acts we are discussing are often savage, it is absolutely necessary if we are to break through the juggernaut of conflict. Inflammatory language contributes nothing to understanding and in fact makes it impossible.

Understand the suffering of all sides

"We cannot just blame one side or the other. We have to transcend the tendency to take sides. During any conflict, we need people who can understand the suffering of all sides. For example, if a number of people in South Africa could go to each side and understand their suffering, and communicate that to the other sides, that would be very helpful. We need links. We need communication….” Thich Nhat Hanh, Peace is Every Step
